Marshal Parks joined Maurer Law in 2024 after spending nearly a decade as an in-house attorney for one of the country’s largest automobile insurance companies. He was recognized annually as a top attorney nationwide within his former company. Marshal has represented over a thousand clients involved in car crashes, giving him invaluable insight into the insurance claims process and complex litigation of car crash cases. His unique experience allows him to foresee and overcome the many challenges in personal injury cases and obtain the best outcome for his clients.
Marshal grew up in Placer County and has been a member of the community for many years. He attended Jesuit High School in Carmichael before graduating from the University of California at Santa Barbara. After obtaining a business and economics degree from UCSB, Marshal started and operated a successful organic produce company in San Francisco before attending law school at McGeorge University School of Law in Sacramento. His real-world experience allowed him to attend McGeorge’s night school program while working during the day. While in law school, Marshal completed an externship for the Honorable Judge Michael McManus in the United States bankruptcy court, Eastern District of California. He also volunteered for the McGeorge bankruptcy clinic. Marshal earned Dean’s List honors at McGeorge and graduated from McGeorge as a member of the Traynor Honor’s Society.
Marshal is a Placer County native. He feels fortunate to represent personal injury and elder abuse clients in the region he not only grew up in but where he now gets to raise his family. Marshal currently lives in Placer County with his wife, two children and three dogs. He enjoys the outdoors, most notably snowboarding and hiking in the Sierra Nevada mountains.
